Subject: Leadership Transition and Continuity of Service
Dear Weld Re-8 Community,
We would like to inform you that our Superintendent, Alan Kaylor, has decided to retire effective the end of the school year. Alan will be on intermittent FMLA leave during this transitional period. We sincerely thank Alan for his 12 years of dedicated service to our district and the positive impact he has made on our schools and community.
The Board of Education is committed to ensuring stability and continuity in leadership during this time. The district administrative team will continue to manage the district’s daily operations effectively, ensuring that the needs of our students, staff, and community remain our top priority.
In light of this transition, the Board will begin the Superintendent search. We are dedicated to conducting a thorough and inclusive search, seeking input from stakeholders to find the best possible leader to guide our district forward.
